Wheatus never really specified how many times he'd had to explain this. We're assuming a lot. Enough that it's worn him down. Enough that "teenage dirtbag, baby" has become less a self-description and more a tired administrative fact he has to keep confirming to strangers.
This one's for anyone who's had to repeat the same thing about themselves so many times they've started saying it through gritted teeth — ex-scene kids, reformed emo phase survivors, or anyone who peaked at a Blink-182 gig in 2003.
